First-Ever Hudson Valley Wine and Chocolate Festival Planned

BREWSTER,N.Y. – Some would call it a heavenly pairing, chocolate and wine.

Partners with PARC is hosting the first annual Hudson Valley Wine and Chocolate Festival Sunday Feb. 9, just in time for Valentine’s Day shopping. Proceeds from the fundraiser go to securing the financial future of people with disabilities.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Putnam County Golf Course and will feature wineries and distillers from across the Hudson Valley and beyond, as well as a wide selection of chocolate, candy and food vendors, many from across the Hudson Valley.

Wineries and distillers include: Adirondack Winery, Amorici Vineyards, Glorie Farm Winery, Hillrock Estate Distillery, Hudson-Chatham Winery, Millbrook Vineyards & Winery, Pazdar Winery, Robibero Family Vineyards, Thousand Islands Winery, Tuthilltown Distillery, Warwick Valley Winery and Black Dirt Distillery, Whitecliff Vineyard. Additional wine and spirits vendors are expected, according to organizers.

Chocolate, candy and food makers will also be featured and sampling set up for customers. Vendors will include: Forget Me Not Cupcakes, Honey Brook Farms, Saratoga Crackers, Maya’s Jams, honey and honey products from Hudson River Apiaries, DW Sweet Confections, Heat Sweets, Aigner Chocolate, Emalyn Sweets, The Peanut Principle, and many more.

This year’s event sponsors include Putnam County Tourism, Cartwright and Daughters Tent & Party Rentals, Putnam County Golf Course, Eventful Magazine, Halston Media and the Mahopac News, and Examiner Media.

Tickets, in advance, are $25 or $10 for designated drivers, and available at www.hvwineandchocolate.com

Ledge Rock Hill Marquette 2012 Medals in San Francisco


Ledge Rock Hill Marquette 2012 earned a Silver Medal at the San Francisco Chronicles Wine Competition 2014 that just took place.

Nestled in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains in Corinth NY, Ledge Rock Hill Winery is located in the lake region of Northern Saratoga County. They are situated between Saratoga Springs and Lake George, and within miles of The Great Sacandaga Lake. They are a family run operation with a dedicated love and appreciation for the art of fine wine making.


The 2014 SFCWC judging is over with a record number of 5,825 entries from over 1,500 wineries from over 25 states in America- the largest competition of wines in America... Seven Wine Sweepstake Winners were selected along with the Wine Label Sweepstake Wine... These Sweepstake winners along with Best of Class, Double Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are listed on the website.
