He shepherded the wine book program of Wine Spectator as well as worked with Kevin Zraly, Oz Clarke, Matt Kramer, Tom Stevenson, Evan Dawson, Greg Moore, Howard Goldberg, and many other wine writers. He has also published Salvatore Calabrese, Jim Meehan, Clay Risen, and Paul Knorr. He has also publisher such writers as Stephen Hawking, E. Hudson Valley Wine Festival and HVWGA Wine Competition 2013 a Huge Success!


The Hudson Valley Wine Festival and Hudson Valley Wine Competition started on Saturday, September 7, 2013. The Festival drew lots of ardent local wine fans. And the HVWGA Wine Competition drew all the dignitaries!!! Lt. Governor Duffy announced the ultimate winner Millbrook Vineyards Tocai Fruliano 2012. Big congratulation to them. Numerous Golds and Double Golds. Great time was had by all. Saturday was crazy in the sheds, with thousands of local wine fan tasting and buying lots of local wines, beers, and spirits.

Lots of happy festival goers! 

Debbie Gioquindo organized and hosted the HV wine competition, and led wine tastings on Saturday and Sunday.

Wine writer Diane Letulle attended the festival and competition. A train load of writers and media members came to attend the awards and festival.
