Catskill's Second Saturday Stroll Wine Event

August's Second Saturday Stroll featured a number of new activities downtown, including a 6-9 p.m. Wine Tasting, "Cat Races," featuring last year's Cat'n Around Catskill Cats, and many sales and promotions, according to Linda Overbaugh of the Heart of Catskill Association which sponsors the 2008 Cat'n Around Catskill.

This was a new event for the the August Stroll and was sponsored by the new Hudson Valley Wine magazine, hosted by Bob Bedford and Linda Pierro of Flint Mine Press of Coxsackie, publisher of the new publication focused on the area’s wines and vineyards.

The wine tasting was entitled, “A Taste of Summer” took place from 6 to 9 p.m., at the corner of Main and Church Streets, and featured a wine tasting of “select Hudson Valley wines,” according to Flint Mine Press.

It was a great night and a lot of fun!

I apologize for leaving this comment here, but I read your book this weekend: 10 secrets my dog taught me. I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful gift of your book. My GSP is 13 and I am struggling with her recent cancer diagnosis. Your book reminded me of all the gifts she has given me, as well as the addition of Flyer...honestly, the closest to Exley, even down to the stuffed teddy greeting! What a find at the bookstore!

Thank you!
