Carlo DeVito has traveled around the US, France, Spain, Chile, Canada, and Italy. He has been a publishing executive for more than 20 years. He shepherded the wine book program of Wine Spectator as well as worked with Kevin Zraly, Oz Clarke, Matt Kramer, Tom Stevenson, Evan Dawson, Greg Moore, Howard Goldberg, and many other wine writers. He has also published Salvatore Calabrese, Jim Meehan, Clay Risen, and Paul Knorr. He has also publisher such writers as Stephen Hawking, E. O Wilson, Philip Caputo, Gilbert King, James McPherson, Michael Lewis, David Margolick, Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr., John Edgar Wideman, Stanley Crouch, Dan Rather, Dee Brown, and Eleanor Clift. Here are the event dates for the Shawangunk Trail Events for 2011!

Each of the 11 wineries along the trail adopts a different country. Maybe it is France, Spain, Italy or Greece; you never know where you might land. At each winery savor the foods and atmosphere of that "country" while you sample the regional wines that make each winery unique. Your Passport includes "visas" good for a day of touring and a souvenir wine glass.

Sixteenth Annual Bounty Of The Hudson
To Be Held At
Adair Vineyards
July 30th & 31st
Noon to 5 PM
A rotating event held at a different winery each year including all of the Hudson River Region wineries and many top food purveyors and restaurants from the Hudson Valley. Bounty location for 2011 heads back to Adair Vineyards at the Northern End of the Trail to the New Paltz area.

What a great way to spend a day, shop for your holiday gifts while you sample fine wines Participants receive a grapevine wreath, a souvenir wine glass, a Shawangunk Wine Trail ornament and an ornament from their starting winery, as they continue along the trail they celebrate the holiday season while sampling uniquely crafted wines at each. As you continue along the trail you pick up an ornament specially chosen by each winery, giving you a total of 12 ornaments to decorate your wreath. This is where the Hudson Valley shops for fine wines and unique gifts in the region. Reservations are required. This event sells out quickly. Tickets will be available soon on eventbrite.com
