Core Vodka at Golden Harvest in Columbia County

Core Vodka is located at Golden Harvest Orchards in northern Columbia County. Their vodka is made from apples, made into apple cider and then distilled into vodka. It' fabulous!

I took my two youngs sons there to see how distilling takes place. They know all about wine, but the making of distilled spiritis was much more interesting, with all that copper and glass and tubes. It seemed a much more sensational expereince to them.

The vodka was more sensational to me.

Their small distillery is a very modern work of art. Though it can only distill 100 gallons at a time, it is flexible and precise enough to create some of the country's very best vodka. They focus primarily on vodka, and their distilling equipment can produce virtually any kind of liquor, from gin and whiskey to exotics like cachaça, agave spirits and medicinal bitters.

They are an asset to the valley and they make a tremendous vodka!
