AMERICAN BOUNTY MARKS 60th ANNIVERSARIES OF THE CIA AND FDR HOME WITH PRESIDENT'S FAVORITE FOODS
Two great American institutions in Hyde Park, NY are celebrating 60th anniversaries this spring. In 1946, President Franklin D. Roosevelt's home was first opened to the public and The Culinary Institute of America was founded. To mark the dual anniversaries, the chefs of the American Bounty Restaurant on the CIA campus have created a menu that features modern interpretations of the favorite foods of the 32nd President.
FDR's favorite dinner of Cedar Planked Salmon, prepared by CIA chefs and served on presidential china. The plates, silver, martini glass, and FDR's eyeglasses seen in the photo are all on exhibit at the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site in Hyde Park, NY.
This Presidential bill of fare is available, in addition to the American Bounty's regular lunch and dinner menus, through July 6. For reservations at the American Bounty or any of the CIA's restaurants, please call 845-471-6608 for more information.
